Thank you Santa!

Twas two weeks before Christmas and all through the clubhouse
All the targets and bowstrings had been chewed by a mouse!
The bows were all stowed in the cabinets with care
They cannot be shot without strings to repair!
Young archers had been waiting for shooting to begin
While visions of shooting (X’s) danced in their heads…
Coach Nick with a smile, Coach Sherry with a grin,
Asked Santa to bring bow string so repairs could begin!
While in front of the clubhouse there arose such a clatter,
Coach Sherry sprang up from her chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the door she flew like a flash
Santa was arriving for the Breakfast bash!
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all cleaned, no ashes or soot.
A bundle of gifts he had flung on his back
He reached for the bowstring he carried in his pack!
